[Yagenbori Fudoin/Tokyo] A temple with various origins

Yagenbori Fudoin Temple in Chuo Ward, Tokyo 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 This is the Tokyo branch temple of Kawasaki Daishi Heikenji Temple, the head temple of the Chizan school of Shingon Buddhism. It is known as one of the three great Fudo in Edo, along with Meguro Fudo and Mejiro Fudo. When Toyotomi Hideyoshi attacked Negoro in 1585, the head priest of Negoro-ji Temple fled to this area carrying the statue of Fudo. The temple was founded in 1591. I was told at the gift shop that this is the birthplace of Juntendo and storytelling, and there was a stone monument there. It is also said to be the birthplace of shichimi togarashi.
