Exceptional Dining at Shangri-La Sydney

I'd like to take a moment to express my gratitude for my recent stay at Shangri-La Sydney. In mid-2023, I stayed in a different room and once again felt the distinctive warmth that sets Shangri-La apart (except the restaurant). At present, I had the delight of dining at Altitude, the hotel’s signature restaurant perched high above the harbour, with views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Since my last visit in 2023, I can truly appreciate how Altitude has improved—the food presentation is refined, and most importantly, the staff are friendly, authentic, and wonderfully conversational. They made me feel very welcome. The highlight of the evening was the main dish: the Creamy Cod—simply remarkable and truly world-class. Please maintain this high standard under your leadership. I would also like to personally acknowledge Putu and Krijal, who are rare, genuine treasures in this era. Their warmth, honesty, and innate hospitality exemplify everything Shangri-La stands for. They don't merely serve guests but connect with them, making the experience feel personal and memorable. Employees like them are the lifeblood of this hotel. Also worth mentioning is the Assistant Director Alexander, who has gone above and beyond and is very friendly, showcasing real Asian hospitality. A heartfelt thank you also to the entire Shangri-La team for their hospitality. Today felt like a fairytale, leaving me with unforgettable memories. Please keep in touch if there are any special lunches, dinners, events, or offers at Altitude or within the hotel—I would love to hear from Shangri-La Sydney.
