Pay Homage to the Sacred Phra That Phanom

Phra That Phanom is the oldest stupa in the northeastern region of Thailand. Phra That Phanom is considered the zodiac stupa for those born in the Year of the Monkey and the stupa for those born on a Sunday. According to legend, it was built by Phra Maha Kassapa and 500 Arahants. It is believed that those who pay homage will gain merit, prestige, and respect from others. Every year, from the 10th waxing moon day to the 1st waning moon day of the 3rd lunar month, a grand ceremony is held to worship Phra That Phanom.
