Pathfinder Episode 161: The Most Beautiful Attendant Bodhisattvas ~ Childhood Memories of the Neighboring Sister

From Shaanxi back to Shanxi, you only need to cross the Jia County Yellow River Bridge. 🌺 Every time I drive in Shanxi— even though I have been there ten times already, I still always discover many overlooked delicious treats. Duofu Temple is one of them, and it just happens to be on the return route. 🌺 Duofu Temple is located to the upper left of Taiyuan, leaning towards Xinzhou. It’s still a winding mountain road of several dozen kilometers that tires and makes you drowsy. Fortunately, I heard that the attendant Bodhisattvas in the Mahavira Hall are praised by locals as the most beautiful attendants. Their faces are said to embody compassion and mercy that embrace all things, combined with the fresh elegance of a neighboring sister. The neighboring sister once beautified my entire childhood. Feeling energized. 🌺 Duofu Temple was originally built in the Tang Dynasty and renovated in the Ming Dynasty. The existing statues in the Mahavira Hall are Ming Dynasty masterpieces. The most remarkable are the attendant Bodhisattvas: Their postures are elegant, faces peaceful, and in their detached state free of worries, they radiate purity, tolerance, and intellectual beauty. The rare slightly upturned mouths give the statues a familiar and warm sense of acceptance. Looking closely, it feels like being surrounded by familial care and warmth. 🌺 Exquisite painted statues. A must-see in this lifetime.
