Shanxi | 800-Year-Old Song-Jin Tomb ~ I Went Down to a Tomb Again

This is my third time entering an ancient tomb. The first time was the Jishan Macun Brick Carving Tomb. The second time was the Xu Xianxiu Tomb in the Northern Qi Mural Museum. The third time was this Haojiang No. 1 Tomb in Jincheng. However, this tomb was moved to the museum in its entirety. It was restored 1:1. The concept is different from the previous two tombs that were exhibited on site. But it is rare to have the opportunity to get so close to an ancient tomb in a provincial museum. This tomb is very similar to the Macun Tomb. Both are brick carving tombs from the Song-Jin period. So the cultural content expressed on the brick carvings is similar. Especially the "Woman Opening the Door" is representative. This is very interesting and worth learning more about. These lifelike carvings either reflect the living conditions of people at that time or are a fantasy of a beautiful life in the unknown world after death. After staring at these brick carvings for a long time, I felt like I was having a conversation across time and space with these little people. ⚠️ The photos were taken in June this year, and this exhibition has been withdrawn. Don't make a wasted trip. . If you want to learn more about brick carving tombs or experience the real feeling of going down to a tomb, I strongly recommend going directly to the Macun Brick Carving Tomb in Jishan. The real feeling is overwhelming. If you are brave, you can go early. At that time, you may be the only one inside. It is very exciting. . I was lazy for a while after returning from Shanxi. I was really exhausted. I drove from Nanchang to Shanxi with my two-year-old child. It was more than 3,000 km round trip. During the whole trip, I had to see the scenery, absorb knowledge, and take photos. At the same time, I had to take care of my child. (Actually, I was just catching my child who was running around in various scenic spots.) Every day was really exhausting for a mother. So the result was that the more materials I accumulated, the less I wanted to organize them, and finally I just let it go. But I feel that my diligence is back. I will sort out all the remaining materials from my trip to Shanxi.
