Shuangta Temple Park is a must-see in Taiyuan

Shuangta Temple Park is located in the southeast of Taiyuan City. It is the famous Shuangta Temple of Shanxi, originally named Yongzuo Temple, located at the foot of Xiang Mountain, south of Haozhuang Village, about 4 km from the city center. The park is full of green trees, red walls, pagodas, Buddhist halls, steles, flowers, and pines and cypresses. The temple is built on the mountain, facing north, and consists of three parts: the front courtyard, the back courtyard, and the pagoda courtyard, covering a total area of 30,000 square meters. The pagoda courtyard has two pagodas, a hall, and a back hall. The back courtyard has the Mahavira Hall, the Three Saints Pavilion, the Hall of the Abbot, and other buildings. The Mahavira Hall and the east and west halls are all built in the style of the Wuliang Hall, with blue bricks carved in imitation of wooden structures.
