The Red Brick Six-Compound Courtyard is the second oldest building in the Huashan Creative Park. During the Japanese colonial period, it served as a modernized camphor processing and refining factory. In May 2007, the only remaining camphor refining flue from the Japanese colonial era in Taiwan was discovered here. Consequently, in October of the same year, the Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs designated it as a historical building. The main construction materials of the Red Brick Six-Compound Courtyard are bricks and wood. Its rectangular layout features a facade with numerous windows, designed to ensure good ventilation and heat dissipation during factory operations. The building's exterior is adorned with many white horizontal decorations, including window frames, door frames, and the edges of the eaves, all painted white and featuring classical-style relief decorations. Today, the Red Brick Six-Compound Courtyard is used for various exhibitions, large-scale press conferences, or lectures. Even if you're not attending an exhibition, the architecture itself is worth admiring.
