From Chiang Mai to Bangkok Where should I stop? Should I take a trip through Thailand's history? Day 1: Depart Chiang Mai around 10:00 AM - Visit Lampang Pottery Village to see pottery - Arrive at Sukhothai - Lunch - Hotel check-in - Sukhothai Historical Park - Dinner Lunch recommendation: Sukhothai Pho (They say you have to eat pho in Sukhothai, even in Thailand!) Dinner recommendation: AJ Grill - The best handmade burger I've had in Thailand!! * The Sukhothai Historical Park entrance fee used to be 100 baht per person, but it recently went up to 200 baht. We arrived around 6:00 PM, and admission was free. We tried renting a bike, but it seemed to be full inside. We had to rent one outside, but walking was too much of a hassle, so we took a buggy. It was 300 baht per hour, but since the sun was about to set, I hesitated and ended up getting on for 200 baht. Since admission was free after 6 p.m., there were a lot of locals out jogging. Even if I came in at that time, it was still enjoyable. It wasn't too hot.
