🇧🇬 St. Nedelya Church in Sofia, Bulgaria - Unique scenery and wonderful religious paintings!!

When you go up to the ground from Serdika Station, where the subway lines cross in the middle of Sofia, you will arrive at Sveta Nedelya Square. Although it is called a square, it is small and about the size of Hachiko in Shibuya. What catches your eye is a very European tower. It makes you feel like you are in Europe. Tram lines also cross the square, and you will feel like you are in Europe again. Across the street is the Church of St. Nedelya. The dome is distinctive and the unique scenery is captivating. It was built in the 10th century and is said to have incorporated wooden architecture on a stone foundation. At the entrance, a priest sprinkles holy water on the believers, and a crowd has formed. Since I was there, I asked the priest to sprinkle holy water on me 💧 The inside of the church is suddenly filled with a "kaleidoscope of religious paintings" and colorful religious paintings. I could hear hymns and felt like I was on a trip. I was overwhelmed by the mass, the people praying, and the religious world that doesn't exist in Japan. I wonder what they thought of me, a lone Asian person there...#church
