"Alexander Nevsky Cathedral" is a relatively new church built between 1904 and 1912. It is 52 meters tall, and since there are no other buildings around, its size is huge and magnificent when seen in person. It is a little over 10 minutes' walk from the Serdika subway station in the center, and is located at the back of the main street, so it cannot be seen from the main street. However, it appears suddenly, which is a surprise for visitors. It is a cathedral of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. Built in the neo-Byzantine architectural style, it is the very home of the Bulgarian Patriarchate. Not only the exterior, but the interior is also majestic, with frescoes plastered all over.
