Shaoxing Family Outing | Encountering Mountains and Waters, Staying in an Ancient Town with a Thousand Years of Beauty

In Shaoxing, the mountains ⛰️ embody spirit and character, the water 💦 carries charm and grace. The August breeze brushes through the mountains and lake surface, with the scent of earth, grass, and the chirping of insects 🐛... Taking advantage of the weekend 🌞, I took little Jiang to Shaoxing for a two-day, one-night trip to truly experience the poetic and healing water town of Jiangnan. 🌟🌟 About Accommodation We planned to visit the Keyan Scenic Area (including Keyan, Jianhu, Luzhen, Xianglin, and other four major scenic spots), so we chose to stay inside Luzhen. Stepping outside, there are small bridges and flowing water, willows swaying, allowing us to appreciate the pure and authentic Eastern aesthetics. 🏠 Shaoxing Jiujianlou Shangpeng Resort Hotel 📍 No. 558 Keyan Avenue, Luzhen B51, Keyan Scenic Area, Shaoxing City - The hotel rooms are very spacious. We traveled as a family of three, and the king bed room was more than enough. Opening the window, we saw white walls and black tiles, instantly forgetting all worries. Sitting by the outdoor balcony table, enjoying the carefully prepared desserts 🍮 by the hotel 🏨, I felt unprecedented relaxation. Also, it was my first time staying in a hotel equipped with a Dyson hairdryer. As someone with curly hair, I found it super thoughtful—it made styling smooth and my mood great, haha!! - Note ⚠️ If you come by car, you need to park in a public parking lot a few hundred meters away. The hotel is located on Luzhen’s main street, so we headed straight to the town after waking up. The scenic area is built based on the descriptions by Mr. Lu Xun ✍️, blending old folk customs, architectural styles, and natural scenery. It is a microcosm of Shaoxing’s water town from a hundred years ago. 🎈 Jianhu. Known as the mother lake of Shaoxing, the lake and mountain scenery is stunning. The integration of mountains and waters offers a feeling of freedom as you stroll around. 🌟🌟 About Food The hotel breakfast 🥣 menu is provided at check-in, allowing you to choose as needed. There are dozens of options, such as baked dumplings 🥟, wontons, soup dumplings, 🍞 toast, ☕️ coffee, 🥛 milk, and more, ensuring a satisfying meal without waste. 🏁🏁 Nearby Attractions Recommendations ⭕ Oriental Mountain and Water Park. Considering the kids’ preferences, we visited the Kingdom of Mountains this time, known as a mini Disneyland, fully indoors without sun or rain exposure. An important node of the East Zhejiang Grand Canal and Tang Poetry Road, known as the "Brilliant Pearl on the Ancient Canal of East Zhejiang." (🚗 20 minutes) ⭕ Shenyuan Garden. A famous Song Dynasty garden in Jiangnan, renowned for the love story of Lu You and Tang Wan, with the poem "Chaitou Feng" inscribed on the garden wall. (🚗 30 minutes) ⭕ Lu Xun’s Hometown.
