🤳 An amazing experience after checking in at Shanghai Anting Atour Hotel | With the kids on holiday, our first stop in Shanghai was the Anting Automotive Museum in Jiading. We chose to stay at the Anting Atour Hotel and were surprisingly satisfied ☺️ As soon as we entered the hotel, the front desk staff greeted us warmly. The lobby air conditioning was strong, instantly driving away the heat and irritability from the journey. The front desk lady smiled brightly, and when I mentioned I’m a light sleeper and wanted a quieter room, she quickly upgraded our room and even gave us eye masks and earplugs. The efficiency and attentiveness really made the service feel like the “home away from home” experience people rave about online. The housekeeping aunties were very friendly too. Warm greetings were standard, cleaning was quick and thorough, even the corners were well taken care of. The kids love drinking cola, so the auntie spoiled them with three or four bottles. The service was truly impressive. I was initially worried about inconvenient transportation, but it turned out the subway station was just a short walk away. It only took a few stops to get to the racetrack with the kids. After dinner at night, we wanted to take a stroll, and Anting Old Street was right next door. A three to four-minute walk, enjoying the breeze and scenery, was really relaxing! It’s perfect for those looking for a quiet, slow-paced place to unwind. Dining was also very convenient—whether ordering takeout or eating out. Just 100 meters away was a Shanghai local cuisine restaurant, and after crossing one traffic light, there were various delicacies from all over, like snail noodles, Hunan dishes, Japanese ramen, and Yunnan rice noodles. Such a pleasant surprise that even the suburbs can be this convenient. At night, I took my clothes to the 24-hour self-service laundry, and the front desk lady helped me by telling me to just go rest in the room. She said she would dry the clothes after washing and deliver them to the door. The next morning, I woke up and opened the door to find my clothes, even the socks smelling fresh. This kind of experience is truly a favorite for lazy travelers. I originally thought the hotel breakfast would be “just okay,” but the freshly made small wontons here made me eat them two days in a row! There was also freshly ground coffee, waffles, cartoon-shaped dim sum... The auntie at the table enthusiastically recommended a hidden menu item she discovered—scallion oil noodles with a soft-boiled egg, which was an amazing combo. The kids ate until their mouths were oily, clearly as satisfied as I was. When traveling with kids, the most important thing is their happiness. Finally, at checkout, we even received a gift. They gave the kids a plantable pull-tab can with sunflower seeds inside, which was very unique and immediately got the kids excited to plant. For me, they gave Atour Village fruit tea and a delicate mug, perfect for morning coffee. The gift really touched our hearts. I used to think hotels were just “places to sleep,” but this experience completely changed my view. Convenient and worry-free transportation, warm service, comfortable dining and living, and even solving the most annoying laundry problem during travel. If you’re planning to visit Anting Old Street, trust me, choosing this hotel is definitely the right choice!
