Sofitel Shanghai Hyland, North Bund Recently, I went to Shanghai and stayed at a super stylish hotel—the Sofitel Shanghai Hyland, North Bund. This hotel is perfect for taking photos and checking in on social media. The entire style is minimalist, which really suits young people’s aesthetics. The moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I was captivated by the blend of French romance and modern simplicity. The color scheme and artistic decorations in the lobby make every corner feel like a carefully designed photo spot. 🏨 Excellent Location The hotel’s location is amazing, right in the heart of North Bund. Just a few steps outside are the 1933 Old Millfun and Music Valley. The transportation is very convenient, with Helen Road Metro Station nearby, allowing easy transfers on Lines 4 and 10. You can walk to the Bund from the hotel, and it’s also very convenient to take a taxi to places like the Oriental Pearl Tower, Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street, People’s Square, Yuyuan Garden, and Xintiandi—all within about a 10-minute drive. 🍽 Stylish Restaurant and Lounge The hotel’s Le Salon all-day dining restaurant is on the fifth floor. The breakfast selection is quite rich, featuring specialties like tofu pudding and minced meat bamboo shoot noodles, plus freshly ground coffee with beautiful latte art. I especially enjoyed having breakfast while looking out at the city river view—it felt truly healing. The lounge on the first floor is also very atmospheric, perfectly blending French elegance and romantic vibes. The exquisite porcelain, sculptures, and floral arrangements fill the space with an artistic atmosphere. One afternoon, I had afternoon tea there and felt very relaxed. I also met many fellow photo enthusiasts checking in. 🛀 Room Details Perfect I stayed in a Superior Twin Room. Although the room wasn’t large, it was designed very cozily. The bed quality was excellent, making it very comfortable to sleep. The bathroom amenities were from high-end brands, making the experience very enjoyable. What surprised me most was the thoughtful little gifts the hotel prepared, like welcome fruit in the room upon check-in, and the butler calling ahead to ask about my needs. The service was truly attentive. 🎉 Warm Check-in Details When I checked in, the hotel butler Alan was very considerate and called ahead to ask about my needs. It was my friend’s birthday, and the hotel prepared a birthday cake in advance. The room arrangement was very satisfying, and they even upgraded our room type. I was really touched. 💡 Tips If you plan to stay at this hotel, I recommend booking early because it’s very popular and rooms can be tight. Also, the hotel’s gym and spa are on the same floor. Although not large, the environment is very clean, bright, and well-lit. Definitely worth trying out. Overall, staying at Sofitel Shanghai Hyland, North Bund gave me a unique experience of the perfect blend of French romance and modern minimalism.
