🏨 The hotel is located in Jing'an District, Xintiandi Taikoo Hui, and is the work of the famous Italian interior designer Piero Lissoni (it is said to be Jackson Wang’s favorite hotel in Shanghai). 1️⃣ The crystal chandelier at the lobby entrance is reportedly a custom piece costing millions. The large round table below echoes it, with floral arrangements and ornaments on the tabletop changed regularly, full of thoughtful details. Moving inward, the designer abandoned the traditional hotel lobby layout, creating a grand living space with soft sofas and coffee tables arranged in a circle. The dim lighting, burning fireplace, and soothing fragrance all seem to invite guests to slow down and sit quietly for a moment. 2️⃣ This time, I stayed in a 70-square-meter studio room. The corner room has floor-to-ceiling glass windows on two sides, offering a great sense of openness. The office building next door is very close, so privacy should be considered, or the curtains should be drawn. The room lighting is relatively dim, fully smart-controlled, with a well-planned layout. The main color is black, complemented by plenty of glass surfaces, making it feel spacious and textured—ideal for couples. I want to highlight the tassel cord on the right side of the bedhead, which is not just a simple decoration. Named "Mr. Goodnight," it is a vintage-style interactive device that allows you to easily control the room’s lighting with a gentle pull—turning off the lights before sleep and turning them on in the morning. It’s simple, practical, and quite fun. Chinese-style handicraft details are delicately placed throughout the room. The walk-in closet is well zoned, with shelves of different heights to meet various storage needs. The full-length mirror is accompanied by a yoga mat and small dumbbells. The TV offers five fitness routines to follow. The minibar, except for four labeled bottles of alcohol, is free with unlimited refills. Drinks include Turkish Sirma mineral and sparkling water, various sodas, beer, and milk (capsule coffee, tea bags, chocolates, and snacks are replenished daily). The bathroom features a classic matte white bathtub from the high-end British brand Claybrook, with strong water flow for enjoyable nightly baths. Bath products are from the British niche brand Bamford, a long-term partner of the Swire Group. Drawbacks: 1️⃣ Cleaning was not thorough; there was trash left by the previous guest, and dust accumulated on the bedside and corners. 2️⃣ The staff’s friendliness was average, and their professionalism was somewhat lacking and a bit reserved. 3️⃣ Soundproofing is poor; during an afternoon nap, I could clearly hear cleaning and door closing next door.
