The following is a detailed sharing. 💗Other tips: Surrounding area and service points Shangri-La Hotel, Qiantan Shanghai has an excellent location, just across the street from Taikoo Li, which is a paradise for shopping lovers. There are many restaurants around, with rich dining options on each floor of Taikoo Li and the underground floor. Crossing Taikoo Li to L-Plaza, you can also find many charming restaurants. Compared with Crystal Plaza and Qianjiatan Road Pedestrian Street, the restaurants here are more quality. The hotel service is good. As a feature of the Shangri-La brand, this service is above average. If you are traveling with children, contact the hotel in advance for a free extra bed. However, the hotel's management of foreign personnel is not good. There are mixed people in the lobby, and there are also cases where company employees take the card down to pick up people, lacking effective management and control. 🏘️Room type/layout: Spacious and elegant, some views need to be improved The rooms at Shangri-La Qiantan are better than the Kimpton next door. They are larger in size, the decoration style is elegant and atmospheric, and the living space is spacious. Whether it is the dining table, desk or luggage placement area, it can be arranged loosely. The room layout and design are new and I love it very much. The only drawback is that if it is not a river view room, the view outside the window is office buildings and Oriental Arts and Crafts, which is a bit monotonous. 🛌Supplies/facilities: Diverse facilities, public areas need to be optimized The public area planning of Shangri-La Hotel, Qiantan is not very reasonable. The front desk registration area and the lobby lounge are not clearly separated, which seems noisy and chaotic when there are many people. The recreation center pool is on the first floor. It will feel cold to go to the pool in a bathrobe in winter. The appearance of the pool is quite satisfactory, and the gym space is large. Although Pudong Shangri-La is older, the overall maintenance is excellent, retaining the elegant old money style, which has not changed much compared with six years ago. 🧹Sound insulation/hygiene: Quiet environment, hygiene up to standard Both hotels do a good job in sound insulation and hygiene. At Shangri-La Hotel, Qiantan, you can hardly hear outside noise in the room. The hygiene is cleaned in a timely manner and the room is clean. Pudong Shangri-La is also quiet and comfortable, with good hygiene, providing guests with a safe living environment. 🍱Dining experience: Specialty restaurants to be explored, lounge needs improvement I have not yet experienced the Jiangnan Zao Restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel, Qiantan. The executive lounge is small and lacks a sense of luxury. Pudong Shangri-La is convenient for dining around, and there are various delicacies in the IFC across the street. Shangri-La Hotel, Qiantan Shanghai stands out in terms of location and rooms, while Pudong Shangri-La shows its charm with its excellent location and good maintenance. If Shangri-La Hotel, Qiantan can optimize public area management and lounge experience, it will be more attractive. You can choose according to your needs.
