Strolling around Shanghai～The century-old Western-style building, Ba Jin Library

Ba Jin Library is located at 455 Wujin Road, Hongkou District. Originally named Yihong Garden (formerly 111 Bazi Road, Shanghai Public Concession), it was built at the end of the Qing Dynasty. It consists of two century-old buildings and means "Rainbow reflected on the screen." The library mainly showcases Mr. Ba Jin's literary creations and traces of his life, divided into five halls. Hall One is the cultural activity space of Ba Jin Library, with exhibitions focusing on Ba Jin's literary achievements in Shanghai. The highlights include the "Torrent Trilogy" ("Family," "Spring," "Autumn") and "Random Thoughts," featuring various editions, manuscripts, and correspondence between Ba Jin and his translators. Hall Two is the literary magazine reading room, with exhibitions on Ba Jin's editorial achievements. Hall Three is a cultural leisure space, with exhibitions themed on Ba Jin's life world, including four connected physical scene areas. Hall Four is the book reading room. Hall Five is divided into two areas: one part is the digital reading room of Ba Jin Library, and the other is the exhibition display space.
