It was built in 1931 and was the private garden villa of Huang Jinrong, the chief inspector of the French Concession police and a gang leader in old Shanghai. Although not large, every brick and tile reveals exquisite detail. After Shanghai fell, it once became a barracks for the Japanese invaders, and some buildings were destroyed when the Japanese withdrew. It has been repaired multiple times, and in 1958, Guilin Park was opened to the public. 🌟Highlights: 1.
