Zhang's Residence in Xinchang Ancient Town, Shanghai was first built in the mid-Qing Dynasty and finally completed during the Xuantong period of the late Qing Dynasty. Zhang's Hall is the current name for this large house with four courtyards and three rooms, which was previously the ancestral home of Zhang Xinchang, a wealthy family in Xinchang. Now only the east river residence remains, covering an area of about 680 square meters, and descendants still live there. The architectural style is a blend of East and West, with both oriental classical wood carvings and structures, as well as Western-style Roman columns and exquisite Western-style floor tiles. It's very nice.
