KAI Akiu, opening April 25, 2024 Because it's still new, the rooms were clean and very spacious. Access is also great, with buses running from Sendai Station to KAI Akiu. After checking in, I headed straight to the 24-hour "Seseragi Lounge." I was excited to enjoy tea and sweets while soaking in a foot bath. The hotel offers a wide selection of Japanese sweets to match its ambiance. 🍡 Dinner was a sumptuous feudal lord's kaiseki dinner. Starting with an appetizer of oxtail and Sendai miso rillettes, a gorgeous array of dishes awaited.
