Segorbe Cathedral

Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region) The church was elevated to cathedral status in 1983. It was built in the 13th century in conjunction with the defensive wall, but it wasn’t until the 15th century that several different works were completed. The Gothic church has a nave and side chapels. The doorway was built in the 16th and 17th centuries. The choir stalls are Baroque in style and date from the 18th century. The monastery is Gothic, with a 15th-century church in one corner. The Cathedral Museum is located in the upper cloister, accessed via an 18th-century staircase.
