The Town Hall is also a tourist attraction

Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region) The Town Hall is located in the Plaza Agua Médica, in a 16th-century palace of the Dukes of Segorbe, and was built in the first half of the 20th century. Since its acquisition in 1864, it has been used as a town hall and was later restored in the mid-20th century. Next to the facade, we see a descriptive panel with an overview of the property’s history. Inside there are three marble and jasper porticoes from the Royal Cartuja de Valdecristo. It has noteworthy aspects and is worth visiting. The palace’s first floor houses a meeting room decorated with a 16th-century coffered ceiling. It is in Mudejar style, with an octagonal gold star and a four-pointed star. In one of the rooms on the first floor there is also a coffered ceiling with Italian-style coffered ceilings and diamond-pointed stars.
