The location of this hotel in Samarkand is absolutely fantastic

1. It's just 50 meters away from the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, and it's called the Bibikhanum Hotel. You can sit on the room's terrace, sipping coffee while gazing at this 14th-century building that's within arm's reach. 2. Compared to Registan Square, the Bibi-Khanym Mosque can be simply viewed from the hotel, even though the entrance fee is only 40,000 som. 3. It costs just over 10 yuan to take a taxi from the Samarkand train station to the hotel. The car weaves through the alleys and arrives directly in front of the mosque. The architecture is incredibly impressive, as awe-inspiring as suddenly coming upon the Florence Cathedral after walking through the narrow streets of Florence. 4. The hotel also has an affiliated restaurant called Zargaron Restaurant, with a beautiful view from the windows. Some reviews mentioned slow service, but it wasn't busy when I visited, so it was fine. The meal suited my taste perfectly, with a dish of stewed lamb or beef costing around 35 yuan. You can also order a glass of wine, with Riesling or Chardonnay costing about 17 yuan per glass. 5. This hotel allows the exchange of US dollars to som, and the exchange rate is very good, at 12,690, compared to 12,300 at another Chinese-owned hotel yesterday, which claimed 'we are all compatriots'. It seems that compatriots are the ones who really 'burn' their own people.
