Rishiri Island, Hokkaido. Take a bus from Rishiri Airport to Oshidomari Port. From there, it's a 50-minute walk to the Rishiri Hokuroku Campground, the trailhead for Mount Rishiri. This time, I stayed in a cabin at the Rishiri Hokuroku Campground as a pre-climbing overnight stay. A photo from my camera roll: This is a municipal campground located at the third station of Mount Rishiri's Oshidomari route. The cabin was clean and provided futons, making it very comfortable. Even though it was my first time staying here, I felt at ease. In the evening, Mount Rishiri briefly appeared through the clouds, instantly raising my expectations for the climb. The night was quiet, and I enjoyed a luxurious time surrounded by nature. The hostel manager was very kind and taught me a lot about Rishiri.
