[Star] Quzhou Confucius Temple, also known as the Confucius Temple of the Southern Sect, is one of only two Confucius Temples in the country. The entire building complex faces north and south, is in a vertical rectangular shape, and is laid out along three axes. On the pillars in the hall hang two couplets written by Yongzheng and Qianlong, which respectively read "His virtue surpasses all the people, he created the world and opened the sky, and all the saints are honored as the first. His way is great, and all the saints lead the way, and their voices resound like gold and jade, and everyone looks up to his great achievement" and "His qi is prepared for the four seasons, and his virtue is in harmony with the heaven, earth, ghosts and gods, the sun and the moon. His teachings will be passed down for thousands of years, and he will be the teacher of Yao, Shun, Yu, Tang, Wen and Wu." The east and west wings display the tablets of Confucian scholars of past dynasties and their related cultural relics. [RoundNails] West axis: Wuzhi Temple, Xifeng Temple, Six Generations of Dukes Temple, Silu Pavilion, etc. Silu Pavilion is located on the west side of the Dacheng Hall. Two treasures of the temple are enshrined in the pavilion. They were brought to Quzhou by Kong Duanyou, the Duke of Yansheng, from his hometown Qufu, Shandong when the Kong family migrated south. One is a regular wood statue of Confucius and his wife, which is said to be carved by Zigong; the other is the "Stele of the Portrait of the Sage", which is said to be copied from the draft of the Tang Dynasty painter Wu Daozi.
