The Ye Clan Ancestral Hall in Sanmenyuan Village, Longyou, Zhejiang

Also known as "Yongsi Hall," the Ye Clan Ancestral Hall in Sanmen was built during the mid-Ming Dynasty and boasts a rich history. The ancestral hall consists of three main halls and a rear pillow building, covering an area of approximately 500 square meters. The gatehouse features an octagonal shape with upturned eaves and flying corners. The front hall serves as a theater building. Inside the hall, large, simple, and unadorned wooden beams and exquisite wood carvings on the beams and brackets create a magnificent and imposing atmosphere. The ancestral hall is not only an important place for the Ye family to hold ancestral worship ceremonies and social gatherings but also showcases a wealth of historical and cultural significance. The Ye Clan Ancestral Hall's unique architectural style demonstrates the architectural artistry and craftsmanship of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The exquisite brick and wood carvings within the hall hold high artistic value. Moreover, the plaques and couplets inside the hall also embody rich cultural connotations. It is a key cultural relic protection site in Zhejiang Province.
