Kaiyuan Temple, the largest temple in Fujian

Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou is an ancient temple built in the early Tang Dynasty. It covers an area of 78,000 square meters and has two stone pagodas from the Song Dynasty. The temple is located on West Street in the ancient city of Quanzhou. It is known as a holy place of Buddhism. The temple has many unique attractions, such as the Flying Goddess Statue, the Heart Stone, the Buddha Statue, and the Hongyi Master Memorial Hall. A 1,300-year-old mulberry tree is lush and green, and the two ancient pagodas in the east and west are spectacular. Kaiyuan Temple is a landmark of Quanzhou and is regarded as the spiritual beacon of this ancient city.
