Peik Chin Myaung Cave

On our second day in Pwyin Oo Lwin, we went to Peik Chin Myaung Cave, a popular attraction near Pyin Oo Lwin. There is a waterfall at the entrance of the cave, and inside the cave are Buddhas, of course, so as with any pagoda or sacred area, you must take off your shoes. However, you don’t just take off your shoes when entering the cave, oh no, that would be logical; you must take off your shoes while down below in the village, leave them in an unsecured cubicle, and walk through dirt and mud to the cave – it’s nature, and there isn’t a clean, paved pathway up to the cave, despite the requirement to take off your shoes. While I was interested in seeing the cave, I did not want to do a HIKE in bare feet, so I decided to remain below in the village and look around and relax. Perhaps I missed out on something really cool (the photos people posted are really neat), but the idea of hiking through dirt and mud in bare feet is absolutely ridiculous (plus it’s not like I desperately wanted to see another Buddha), which is why I am only giving it two stars. While I waited for my mom to take a look at the cave, I relaxed, looked around the village and food stalls, saw some waterfalls, and wrote Trip.com reviews. #thingstodo#familytravel

May Myo Cafe

Pyin Oo Lwin really has a slow-life aesthetic, understated and very chill. It's not as bustling as Mandalay, but it has more of a serene, comfortable atmosphere. Staying at the WinTER FARM hotel felt very relaxing, really felt like "escaping from the world". The itinerary also includes My Tree, ThihaBurma, and maymyo coffee, each bringing out a different Burmese style; eat TU TU Burmese rice plus Onepiece barbecue, the taste is surprising, with the cool air of the eyebrows, the feeling is really a plus! 🗺️ Attractions & Food Inventory: May Myo Cafe 📍Address: Block 7 Near UAB Bank Hotel Hnin Si Khaing, Bin Ulun 100201 Myanmar The environment is comfortable, perfect for sitting down and enjoying a cup of coffee and handmade desserts. I tried their signature coffee, it was fragrant and smooth. The cafe space has a western retro feel, some of the staff are very nice, recommended to sit near the window, can look at the street outside to enjoy an afternoon. Winter Farm Hotel Located on the outskirts of the city and surrounded by greenery, it is healing both in room view and in public spaces. After staying for a few nights, I felt particularly quiet. I came back in the morning for a cup of hot milk tea and felt the natural freshness of my eyebrows. My Tree & ThihaBurma & coffee Couple Both of these small shops have a local niche style, My Tree has some Fusion snacks and specialty drinks, ThihaBurma mainly Burmese barista won more awards Coffee Couple is relatively far away and is famous for its coffee, but it is not recommended to eat their cake. TU TU Burmese rice Focusing on Burmese family dishes, white rice with a variety of sauces, especially fish soup, curry chicken, very rice, taste very authentic. Aung Thiri is a famous local restaurant with cheap prices and the most famous catfish soup. Onepiece BBQ Dinner time is perfect, street feel, a wide variety of skewers, beef skewers, chicken skewers, spicy vegetables are worth a try. Barbecue with ice beer, complete relaxation mode. ✨Itinerary Tips 1. Mei Mi is safe, not afraid to go out at night, but it is recommended to return to the hotel early, some snack bars close at 8 or 9 o'clock. 2. Cafe & restaurants usually do not accept credit cards, remember to exchange enough cash, consumption is not expensive. 3. The hotel environment is quieter, you can get up in the morning to walk around and feel the local morning market and flower gardens. 🚗Transportation guide The city of Meimei is not big, so it is enough to walk, or take a tuk tuk to visit the main attractions. One way direct access Convenient and comfortable. 🍽️ Food recommendations - May Myo Cafe signature coffee + coconut cake - TU TU family-style Burmese rice, Aung Thiri’s famous catfish soup - Onepiece beef skewers, vegetable barbecue with beer 📌Practical tips The weather is cool, the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, and I wear a multi-layered jacket at night; there are not many people queuing up at the cafe/restaurant, so I should bring a book to enjoy the lazy time. #Mei Mi Slow Life #Myanmar Food #Cafe Photo #Travel Tips #Mei Mi Accommodation
