Ancient Manuscripts and Papal Bulls Unveiled

A Journey to the Pyrenees in Spain ~ Lleida (Region) This is a small museum located in the center of La Seu. The museum is housed in the historic Casa del Deganat, very close to the cathedral. It boasts a rich collection of artworks spanning the 10th to 18th centuries, including paintings, sculptures, engravings, precious metal artifacts, manuscripts, textiles, liturgical ornaments, and more. It also features temporary exhibitions and a multimedia performance room. While all floors are accessible by elevator, the entrance to the building is somewhat steep for wheelchairs. On the second floor, you can find papal bulls damaged by insects on display. It also showcases the Urgell Codex, an 8th-century illustrated manuscript depicting the story of the battle between good and evil as described in the Revelation of John.
