🏡 Wat Chaiyawad, originally an abandoned temple, is located near the city gate made of iron, hence commonly referred to as Wat Pratu Lek or Wat Chaiyawad Pratu Lek. The iron gate has long been damaged. 🎡 Wat Chaiyawad and Wat Luang Ratchasathan have been sister temples since ancient times. On important religious days such as Buddhist Lent and Songkran, the two temples have a tradition of exchanging food and desserts, a practice that continues annually. Key attractions within the temple include: 🏠 The Viharn, built in 1951, featuring murals depicting Lanna traditions across 12 months. 🙏 Somdej Ong Pathom or Phra Buddha Rattanatthapol Somprarthanakritimahalapha, also known as Luang Por Ngern Lai Ma Te Ma, created in 2020.
