[Fukuoka Shrine] A shrine with lion statues that are said to bring good luck in fertility

Izu Shrine 2-9-1 Korosuekita, Mizumaki-cho, Onga-gun 090-9599-1907 There is a guardian lion standing on its head, which is said to grant fertility if you stroke it. In 1571, it was separated from Koga-mura Kuga Shrine (then Izu Daimyojin). The gods are Hikohohodemi-no-Mikoto, Tamayorihime-no-Mikoto, and Shiotsuchi-no-Oji. The shrine was built on the summit of Myojin-ga-tsuji mountain, and the mountain is now called Kunimyojin-no-Dake. The shrine legend says that this god visited this place from Takachiho-no-miya, as he likes mountain produce.
