2-Day, 1-Night Ehime Trip

📍Trip Overview Exploring Ehime by car! 🚩Route First, we parked the car at the ryokan before check-in and walked to the Dogo Onsen area! We enjoyed street food, browsed souvenirs, and strolled around. At 3 PM, we checked into the ryokan and relaxed. After dinner, we went back to the onsen area—the nighttime atmosphere was lovely. The next day, we visited roadside stations and JA markets by car, ending the trip at Poeme Park! We enjoyed freshly made Poeme sweets and ice cream. You can also see how Poeme is made! 🏖️Instagrammable Spot The shop in the third photo, where orange juice flows from a faucet, is very photogenic 🍊. You can try various flavors! 🚇Transportation Dogo Onsen Station is nearby, and the Botchan Train runs there! Be sure to check the schedule in advance. 📷Recommended Photo Spots Everyone was taking pictures of the Botchan Dango 🍡. You can choose three flavors yourself, and they’re not only cute but also delicious. 🍜Must-Try Gourmet We noticed a restaurant called Marubune serving tai-meshi (sea bream rice). We went without a reservation but managed to get in! You can choose between wild or farmed sea bream. It was so delicious that we couldn’t stop eating the rice (you can get refills). 🏠Recommended Accommodation We stayed at Tsubakikan. It’s a historic ryokan, but the renovated rooms were very clean. The onsen water is sourced from Dogo Onsen, and the open-air bath was very relaxing ♨️. The buffet meals were also delicious! 💡Tips Even if you don’t stay in the Dogo Onsen area, you can park and still enjoy it fully! Note that some souvenir shops close a bit early, so check their hours in advance!
