Interesting historical site

Andalucia Tour ~ Malaga The theatre is located just below the open-air Alcazaba. What is surprising from a historical point of view is that it has survived from the first century AD. That’s what makes it so impressive. Very interesting and informative information center which is free to visit. Artifacts and short films bring the Roman ruins to life. Much of the theatre can be seen from the path, and from the seating area looking down, it’s easy to imagine what it would have looked like in ancient times. #11月好去2024 #SpainTravel #Andalucia #Malaga #HistoricRelics #AncientRomanColosseum #OpenAirMuseum

Málaga Roman Theatre

Teatro Romano is the oldest monument in Málaga City; it is situated in the cultural heart of Málaga city, at the foot of the famous Alcazaba fortress. It is one of the only Ancient ruins left in Málaga after the outwardly Republican city was bombed by Nationalist sympathizers - the Italian army during the Civil war, and one of the only remaining Roman ruins in Andalucía after centuries of warfare, and construction. The site is accompanied by the Centro de Interpretación (visitors centre) which teaches visitors about the history of the ruins and its subsequent excavation. Admission is free (but not advertised on outside as free). There is no disabled access to the site. Do wear comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of walking. Getting There - There is a lot of buses and many train and subway stops nearby. Attractions - A nice place to sit, people watch and immerse yourself in roman history Hotels - Many hotels nearby to suit all budgets Food & Restaurants - Many F&B outlets and restaurants to suit all budgets Shopping - Souvenier, retail and luxury shopping available nearby. #teatroromano #malaga #spain
