City of Mosaic Tiles

Madaba is located south of Amman, about an hour's drive away. Free admission for Jordan Pass holders. It is famous for its mosaic art. The city's most important ancient site is a church, decorated with mosaics on the walls, ceilings and floors. The most common mosaic pattern is the Tree of Life, a Christian symbol representing the connection between heaven and earth, knowledge, God's love and fertility.
