The Royal Inn

I do like the Royal Inn on the Park, it's just a great venue that bosses the entire area it's sat in. At three storeys tall and as box-shaped as you can get, this gastropub just tells you to look at it. But inside is what I really like. There's a chilled bar area in the single storey space to the left of the main building with your old booths, cast iron tables and huge picture windows. Behind that, there's a smaller bar in another room with low slung sofas, which have clearly seen a lot of action. There's a picture of Queen Victoria on the wall, one of the few pubs I know which has one, despite so many being built during her reign.
