The Red Lion

Substantial corner pub which presents itself to you as soon as you come out of the station. The tower, the crest and the lion all mark this place as a long standing local landmark. Indoors is very much shabby-chic, with a three piece suite from circa 1970s offering itself up as you walk in. The windows are huge and ideal for watching the world go by. The whole pub is one room, with exposed wall in some areas, and a collection of ephemera to interest the visitor. There are rooms upstairs if you want to stay the night, and also a ballroom.
