The Dacre Arms

In a quiet residential corner of Blackheath stands one of my top three London pubs. The Dacre Arms is a wonderful place, but it's only on my last visit that I discovered its beer garden. I knew about the tables at the side of the pub, they're on show as you walk up. The back garden though is something extra. In the dying days of summer (here's hoping) if you get the chance, drop in and get out there, if only to see the Courage signage on the back of the building. Sure it's in need of some smartening up, but it's a good spot for the rare sunny day we might still get.
