The Paeria Palace has served as Lleida's town hall since 1383. It is one of the most important examples of civil Gothic architecture in Catalonia.

The facade facing Plaça de la Paeria is Neo-Medieval by Ramon Argilés (1927), while the rear facade is Neo-Classical by Agapit Lamarca (1868). The building is built around a square central courtyard. The ground floor features a gallery with semicircular arches, while the main floor features trefoil windows (also semicircular), which are repeated on the facade. The altarpiece by Jaume Ferrer (mid-15th century) from the old church is preserved in one of its rooms. In the crypt, formed by pointed arches, visitors can see archaeological remains of a rectangular building from the Roman period and baths from the Andalusian period (9th-10th centuries). #SeptemberDestinations2025 #Catalonia
