Guangdong Lianping Lixin Village Lai Ancestral Hall

The Lai Ancestral Hall was built during the Qing Dynasty to commemorate the Lai ancestors. It covers a total area of approximately 1,500 square meters, with buildings occupying over 800 square meters. The ancestral hall forms the central part of a Hakka walled house complex featuring three halls, two wings, and an enclosure. The complex has a brick-and-wood structure with a hard-top roof. Due to years of neglect, most of the buildings have been damaged, with only the central ancestral hall remaining. The walled house features a concave-style front entrance with square stone pillars and bases on both sides, stone door frames, and stone thresholds. A plaque reading "Lai Ancestral Hall" hangs above the doorway. Inside, there is a wooden screen, and the entire building showcases exquisite wooden beam carvings of significant artistic value. In front of the ancestral hall are a threshing ground and an oval feng shui pond. It is a key cultural relic protection site in Lianping County.
