Okayama｜The Three Munakata Goddesses who have protected Kurashiki for 400 years and the 61 steps of Kaireizaka that extend longevity

It would be a shame to only look at the canal and white walls when visiting Kurashiki. This 400-year-old ancient city actually has many beautiful viewing angles. You can climb up the 61-step Kanreki-zaka, which is said to prolong life, and look out at the history and beauty of this city from the Achi Shrine. Achi Shrine enshrines the three goddesses of Munakata, who bless the residents of this place with safe navigation and trade. Interestingly, according to legend, the earliest residents here were the "Achi clan" who came to Okayama after the Han people fled to Korea. Because the word "zhi" and "zhi" were interchangeable in the past, the Shrine was named Achi. In autumn, at Yonezuzaka on the Higashi-Sando Road, you can see the red leaves shining against the old houses in the Bikan district. In April and May, there are Achi-no-Wisteria flowers with an enchanting fragrance.
