There is a free hidden gem museum in Kunming!

Yunnan Railway Museum is located next to Beijing Road in Kunming. It was built using the waiting room of Kunming North Railway Station and opened in 2004. The museum mainly displays the history of railway development in Kunming, especially the meter-gauge railway relics. The museum has a building area of 7,963 square meters and an exhibition area of 5,155 square meters. It has collected or displayed more than 10,000 cultural relics and documents, including 8 first-class cultural relics, 10 second-class cultural relics, and 123 third-class cultural relics, which condense the century-old history of Yunnan Railway. The museum is currently open to the public for free, but visitors need to make a reservation in advance. If you like railways, don't miss it when you come to Kunming!
