~Tamura Shrine, Shiga Prefecture~ Lantern Festival held from August 3rd to August 5th! ☑️More than 10,000 lanterns will be lit. ☑️The Lantern Festival is a festival to give thanks to the goddess who protects the spirits of one's ancestors! ☑️It is also famous as a summer tradition! ☑️A festival with character shows, Taga Ondo, and Omi Sarugaku while countless lanterns shine in the summer night sky! ◇Period...August 3rd to 5th ◇Lighting time...From 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm during the festival ◇Number of lanterns offered...Approximately 10,000 lanterns ⚠︎Notes on the day During the Lantern Festival from August 3rd to 5th, vehicles will not be allowed to enter the parking lot on the temple grounds after 3:00 pm! Vehicle traffic will be restricted on Ema Street in front of the gate (from Omi Railway Taga Taisha-mae Station to the shrine's torii gate) after 3:00 pm! If you are coming to visit during this period, please use the parking lot along Route 307 (in front of Taga Town Hall).
