The Kochi Prefectural Makino Botanical Garden is located on Godaisan in Kochi City. The approximately 8-hectare garden takes advantage of the natural terrain and features over 3,000 species of wild and horticultural plants associated with Dr. Makino, offering a colorful display throughout the seasons. The highlight of this botanical garden is the greenhouse. The warm indoor environment allows visitors to enjoy rare plants collected from both Japan and abroad, as well as vibrant tropical flowers and fruit trees, all year round. This place is incredibly fascinating! The space resembles a jungle, giving you the illusion of being in a tropical paradise. The entrance's Green Tower and corridor are also noteworthy, with a 9-meter-high tower designed to resemble a giant tree cave, planted with banyan trees to create an atmosphere reminiscent of Southeast Asia.
