Keelung Art Museum's Adorable Exhibition: Step into Yuichi Hirako's Fantasy World

This time, I visited the Keelung Art Museum to see Japanese artist Yuichi Hirako's first large-scale solo exhibition in Taiwan, "Beyond Ideal Landscapes." Inspired by the mountain and sea landscapes of Keelung, the exhibition is divided into three main themes: "Town," "Mountains," and "Ocean," creating a dreamy and spiritual artistic journey. The works are based on the perspective that all things have spirits, featuring tree characters with foliage on their heads and dressed in various outfits. Combined with immersive exhibition setups and translucent mesh visual designs, visitors feel as if they are stepping into a flowing landscape painting. The three-dimensional installations of mountains, oceans, and adorable little tree characters complement each other, making the experience incredibly charming. Visiting Keelung is not just about enjoying the sea; you might also stumble upon a poetic and fantastical exhibition.
