Peace Island Geopark: Feel the sea breeze, admire unique rock formations, and enjoy the water—an incredibly satisfying day trip!

This one-day trip to Keelung was absolutely fulfilling—Peace Island is truly worth visiting! From Keelung Train Station, take Bus 101 for about 20 minutes, and you'll arrive directly at Peace Island Geopark. However, I personally recommend wandering around the Keelung Harbor area first—take some photos of the harbor scenery or grab some snacks before heading out! Before entering Peace Island, make sure to purchase your tickets online. Not only does it save time, but you can also sign up for the early bird guided tour, where a professional guide explains everything on-site. It's super interesting, and the rock formations are incredibly photogenic—some resemble tofu, others look like turtles. You'll want to snap photos of them all! The park's route is well-planned, with clear signs along the way. There's even a pavilion in the middle of the park, and I highly recommend taking a break there. Feel the sea breeze and listen to the sound of the waves—it's incredibly soothing! You might not want to leave! As you continue walking, you'll reach a water play area. Be sure to wear non-slip shoes to enjoy splashing around and wading in the water—it’s so refreshing! And don’t worry if you get wet; there are foot-washing and shower facilities here. Plus, there’s a shop nearby where you can buy ice pops. Playing in the water and then enjoying an ice pop—life doesn’t get better than this! Afterward, take the same bus back to Keelung and make sure to visit Miaokou Night Market for dinner! Seafood soup, tempura, butter crab, and the famous nutritious sandwich—everything looks so tempting. It’s the perfect way to end the day! Highly recommended for those who love nature and relaxed itineraries. This is the ideal spot for enjoying the sea breeze, taking beautiful photos, and recharging your energy.
