The Golden Icon: Wat Traimit's Majestic Masterpiece

#bangkoktrips Visiting the Temple of the Golden Buddha was amazing. The temple, Wat Traimit, is home to a stunning 3-meter-tall golden Buddha statue that's over 700 years old. As I walked in, I was struck by the statue's sheer size and beauty. I learned that the Buddha was cast in the 13th century and was later covered in plaster to hide it from invaders. It was accidentally rediscovered in the 1950s. I felt a sense of wonder and awe standing before this incredible piece of history.
