Wat Nak Watchara Sophon is a royal-sponsored temple located in Kamphaeng Phet. It is situated in the northern part of the historical park. From a modern perspective, Wat Nak Watchara Sophon was once a very ancient and beautiful temple. The main buildings' history can be traced back to the 20th century. They are scattered under the shade of trees in a lush park. The ruins are isolated by a moat and can be accessed via a floating bridge on the east side. Apart from some preserved red clay pillars, the difference lies in its modern white Buddha statue, which contrasts sharply with the continuous pagodas. In addition to its scale, its interesting feature is the sixteen elephant statues installed on its base. Although they are incomplete, their original grandeur and magnificence can still be seen! Nevertheless, the elephants of Wat Chang are more majestic than those of Wat Chang Rob, but smaller than those of Wat Chang Lom (วัดช้างล้อม) in Si Satchanalai Historical Park.
