Overhanging Great Wall in Jiayuguan, Gansu

👍The Overhanging Great Wall is a unique tourist attraction located on the northern slope of Heishan Mountain, north of Shiguan Gorge, 8 km north of Jiayuguan Fortress in Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province. 🌈The Great Wall was first built in the 18th year of the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1539) under the supervision of Li Han, the military governor of Suzhou. It is the last section of the Great Wall before it reaches Jiayuguan, with a total length of about 15 km. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is suspended on a steep ridge, majestic and hanging like an arm, hence the name "Overhanging Great Wall", also known as the "Badaling of the West". 🚗We drove there, which was more convenient, as there is no public transportation between here and Jiayuguan, so you will need to take a taxi.
