Clouds, Calm, and Climbing

#summervacay if you're in the mood for a relaxed mountain day with killer views, Deogyusan’s Hyangjeokbong Peak is a solid pick. It’s the highest point in the park, but don’t worry, it’s totally doable even if you’re not a hardcore hiker. The trail is peaceful and surrounded by lush forest, especially beautiful in the early morning when everything’s still quiet. It’s a steady climb, but nothing too crazy. We took our time, stopped for snacks, and soaked in the scenery. The view from the top is unreal, rolling mountains fading into the distance, and if you're lucky, some dreamy clouds drifting by. Even though it’s one of the higher peaks in Korea, the hike feels more meditative than intense. Bring water, comfy shoes, and maybe a little picnic if you want to chill at the summit. It’s not crowded either, which makes it extra nice. Overall, Hyangjeokbong is perfect for anyone wanting mountain vibes without the stress.
