[Hirakubosaki Lighthouse, the northernmost point of Ishigaki Island]

📍 Ishigaki Island Hirakubozaki Lighthouse From New Ishigaki Airport to Hirakubozaki Lighthouse, head north on National Route 390 to Prefectural Route 206, and it is about 30 kilometers, or just under 50 minutes by car. The Hirakubo Peninsula is a long peninsula that juts out from the northeastern part of Ishigaki Island, and occupies about a quarter of the island's area. Hirakubozaki Lighthouse is located at its northern end, at Hirakubozaki. Follow the sign for "Hirakubozaki Lighthouse" and follow the narrow path through the pastureland to a free parking lot. The view from the cape is impressive, with the white lighthouse standing in the panoramic view of the deep blue East China Sea. This view is also used for commercial filming. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Tarama Island. #0yentravelJanuary2025
