The northernmost tip of Ishigaki Island

There is a desperate place on Ishigaki Island, which is the northernmost "Hirakubozaki". It is about 50 minutes by car from New Ishigaki Airport and about 90 minutes from the city. The Hirakubo Peninsula stretches northeastward. Go north along Prefectural Road 206 and follow the signs to the grazing grounds of the black-haired Japanese cattle. There is a small hill there and you can see the white lighthouse along the hill. Walk along the parking lot and the magnificent view from the cape is simply breathtaking! All that came into view was the endless emerald green sea, the white lighthouse and the blue ocean, with Tarama Island visible in the distance.
